The Power of Music

HANDS ON EXPERIENCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

The ICOPR presents attractive, high-energy concerts that are educationally fun, promoting the active participation of young people. The orchestra’s modern and innovative image inspires a new audience of classical and universal music lovers for the future of Puerto Rico. Professors from distinguished schools of music such as those at Michigan State, UCLA, Eastman School of Music, and Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, offer public classes and private lessons free of charge.

YOUNG ARTIST FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMplaceholder

ICOPR creates a cradle of training for budding artists immersing select young artists perched on the brink of their professional careers in an atmosphere of mentoring and real-world experience through participation in all of the Orchestra’s events during the two-week Festival. In just three years, ICOPR has been privileged to offer this experience to 62 young artists!
